2010 Fee Schedule

We work in two realms: 1) strategic planning and consulting, and 2) web development and content updates. We price them about equally at an hourly rate for consulting and per feature or per page rate for development work. Our rates are competitive and reflect a long history of organizational work in a variety of settings.

Written Website Evaluations are $100 - $300 prepaid in advance and the fee is dependent on site size (number of pages.)

All website reviews or evaluations are considered Technical Assessments by our firm and a retainer is required prior to all project starts. As our processes are sometimes proprietary, our evaluations are detailed, and our project schedule is constantly tight, we are no longer offering complimentary "sales meetings." We also do not compete in bid processes for projects, offer "free" proposals or prepare free "bids" on consulting or website work. All meetings and project work are billable tasks.

We are doing less hosting than we used to -- we prefer to work within your favorite hosting plan or we can recommend hosting services for you billed to your own credit card. Some content updates or widgets are host dependent. For example: some forms built in PHP must be hosted on a Linux server. Old Front Page sites must be installed on hosts that still maintain their Front Page extensions...etc. Because of licensing costs for server software, hosting stability and pricing can vary widely. We will give you our best recommendations at time of implementation based on market rates.

Some of our consulting rates may reflect a sliding scale based on organizational size or type but cannot be a guaranteed rate indefinitely. Some of our rates will reflect complexity of task. Our base rate for 2010 for all consulting and technical work is $75 / hour. Starting prices for basic website development is $150 per page or per component (calendar, photo gallery, form) with a $500 minimum per project. More complex components or involved sites are as quoted and can be dependent on software licenses needed to achieve your project vision which are billed separately.
